Labrador
Most of mainland Singapore's coast is now seawall. At Labrador a stretch of natural rocky shore survives inside a nature reserve, below coastal forest and old wartime gun emplacements.
- Habitats
- Rocky shore, coastal forest
- Getting there
- Off Labrador Villa Road, near Labrador Park MRT
- How to see it
- Coastal paths and boardwalk; access to the rocky shore itself is controlled
How to see it
The paths and boardwalk give good views over the shore. Whether you can go onto the rocks depends on the current NParks rules, which have changed over the years, so check before you go and follow the signs.
What to look for
Rocky shores have a different cast from sand and seagrass: snails and limpets clamped to the rocks, crabs in the cracks, and anemones and seaweeds in the pools.
